Well it's been a while, as per usual.

I haven't put any of my recent work up really because most of it was college work, as I never seem to have any time for much else! And all the college work is currently mounted up in folders in college...which I will not be getting back anytime soon. Sigh. But! I have currently got some of my creativity back and I'm working on a portrait of Johnny Depp as The Mad Hatter. Have you seen the photos? I couldn't resist all the sickeningly bright orange and crazy eyes XD.

The reason for the title of 'change' is because the time is drawing ever nearer when I will be leaving my home for 18 years and moving to London for uni. I think it's going to be quite a shock to the system to be honest, and while I'm extremely excited (i'm going to be surrounded by like-minded art fanatics!) it's also quite scary! And sad, to be leaving everything behind.

But the show must go on

Is there actually a reason for New York being called that? I'm sure there is, I just haven't looked it up.

But anyway! I've just got back from the amazing place known as New York Went on a media college trip (even though I don't do the subject)and had such a fantastic time. Did all the touristy type things such as the Empire State Building, Little Italy, Chinatown, 5th Ave, shopping in Greenwich Village...the list goes on. I was so tired yesterday after getting an overnight flight and staying up most of the last night there...went to bed at 9 and didn't wake up til 12 today! Very unusual for me, meaning I don't really feel that tired right now.

I've come back home from Barcelona last night, and I really wish I could go back. I went with a group of friends for an 18th birthday, and was a brilliant holiday! Just the break I needed, I had so much fun, and took a hec of a lot of photos. Unfortunately none of them are really deviant worthy, they're mostly holiday snaps of people for memories

On another note, exams are upon me so I'm trying my best to get everything together! Not long left of college

...Well actually I've my two uni interviews in the past week or so, I just have a portfolio review to go!

I've been in Falmouth for the past two days for my interview which was yesterday - it takes around 5 hours to get there so we thought it would be more practical to go down the day before. It was a rather unusual interview as well. We had to do an excersize which involved taking three objects and making them into a sculpture, which we then drew, then make a paper sculpture from the drawing, and lastly make a drawing of that! I felt like a 5 year old again, using masking tape to stick torn/screwed up bits of paper together xD

I have an offer from Ravensboure too, though Falmouth is my first choice. Just need to go to the portfolio review at Chelsea, and hopefully find out if I get in soon!

Hello all.
Well It's a new month, and a new year. Year of the Bull, I believe. I've realised how little of my current work that I have a copy of and can upload, as it all gets done (usually at the last minute) and gets tucked away nicely in sketchbooks or mountboards! I shall have to remedy that. If i remember to take my camera with me to college.

Anyway, hope you all had a good new year if you went out to celebrate it, and even if you didn't! (I stayed in and watched Meet the Fockers )

Lets make 2009 a great year
